Welcome! I’m Karen Bolan, a quilter, teacher, and pattern designer.
I am drawn to layers of design and expression possible in quilting. I love experimenting and strive to find efficiencies in process and material use. My work has been featured in magazines and in local and international quilt shows. In my workshops, I guide students beyond their comfort zones in a fun and supportive environment focused on skill building.
-
I teach and lecture in person and online about quilting. Classes are supportive and interactive. Lectures are fun and educational.
-
I sell digital patterns to make quilts and individual blocks. All patterns are written as skill building tools.
-
I share tutorials for my favorite techniques, details about my works in progress, musings for a better world, and keep it interactive with discussions and diversions.
For the fourth year in a row, I’m honored to announce I’m teaching at QuiltCon! It will be held next year in Raleigh, North Carolina. I’m teaching two classes: one new and one familiar favorite.
